Higher Hoops is a noncompetitive developmental basketball league offered to boys and girls who are in 1st through 4th grades. The cost is $30 per child and the price includes a shirt, a water bottle, and 5 great weeks of basketball skills, games, and an awards ceremony with a medal and certificates! Your child will participate every Saturday. All first and second graders will play together and all 3rd and 4th graders will play together. All teams will consist of boys and girls. Sessions consists of 50% lesson and skill development, and 50% playing an actual game. Higher Hoops will be conducted on reduced size courts with shortened goals to facilitate proper form in shooting and passing. Skills include: Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, and Defense. The purpose of this program is to introduce kids to a great sport without the competitive pressures of winning. Scholarships are available.
